Melva J. Myers' Obituary
Melva Kapalko Hatton Myers, 74, of Alliance, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 6:55 am at Community Care Center in Alliance.
Born on August 13, 1945 in Alliance, to Martin and Vera (Hahn) Yendrich, she lived in Alliance all of her life.
Melva attended Alliance High School, and was employed at both Sun America and D-Con.
Melva loved being outdoors, flower gardening and spending time with her family and her cat, Abby.
Survivors include her daughter, Theresa Kapalko Blake of Marlboro; a step-daughter, Jeana Hatton of Alliance; two sons, Anthony Kapalko of Ravenna and Terry Kalpalko of Alliance; a step-son, Lee Hatton of Alliance; four grandchildren, Kyle (Brittany) Blake, Kody Blake, Madeline Kapalko and Hannah Cruise; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Vera Russell of North Benton and Mary Andrie of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her first husband, Charles Kapalko; her second husband, Gene Hatton; and her parents.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, with Chaplain Jody Hill, of Aultman Alliance Community Hospital, officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
