Melicent Linder Hartman's Obituary
Melicent Linder Hartman, 97, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, September 20, 2005, at 11:00 p.m. at Crandall Medical Center. She was born in Grant, Iowa, on May 12, 1908, and had lived in the Alliance area most of her life. Mrs. Hartman attended the Alliance First Assembly of God. She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Ackerman of Damascus; three sons, Eldon Linder of Tallmadge, Walter Linder of Hampton, VA, and Lenny Linder of Dunwoody, GA; 11 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her first husband, Paul Linder in 1957; her second husband, Lin Hartman in 1998; two sons, Richard Linder and Gerald Linder; parents, Richard and Mary E. (James) White; two sisters, Gladys Stanley and Elzine Boyce; and a brother, Vernon White. The family will receive friends at the Alliance First Assembly of God Church on Monday, September 26, 2005, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 noon with Rev. Mark Ackerman officiating. Interment will follow at Alliance City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
