Megan Nicole (Furry) Middleton's Obituary
Megan Nicole (Furry) Middleton, 27, of Alliance, passed away peacefully into Heaven’s gate on August 11, 2016 at her home with her mother and sister at her side, and surrounded by family. Megan fought a six month fight with nerve sheath sarcoma, a rare neurofibromatosis cancer.
Megan married her high school sweetheart of five years, Cory Ryan Middleton, on September 10, 2011, marking that special date of 9-10-11 at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Alliance.
The beloved daughter of James and Lisa (Vizzuso) Furry, Megan was born on July 17, 1989 at Alliance Community Hospital.
A 2007 Graduate of Alliance High School, Megan played violin in the orchestra.
She was employed at Coastal Pet Products for the past eight years serving as a Line Leader, where she always loved coordination and participating in spirit days; dressing up for different holidays, occasions and sports events.
In her free time, Megan enjoyed the company of her husband and their dog, Chloe and also enjoyed spending time with her nieces Gia and Giuiana. She had a passion for crafts, making different bracelets for cancer awareness and school spirit.
She was a 31 Sales Consultant and enjoyed her membership with the Christopher Columbus Society.
Megan had a “Heart of Gold”, touching everyone she met with her beautiful smile.
Even through her many tests, treatments, hospital stays, surgeries and setbacks, Megan never once complained, but stayed positive; amazing her caregivers at Cleveland Clinic and at Alliance Community Hospital Acute Rehab, with her attitude.
Megan leaves behind her husband, Cory Middleton; her parents, James and Lisa (Vizzuso) Furry; her sister, Morgan Furry; her brother, Aaron Furry; her grandparents, Nick and Neva Vizzuso; grandmother, LaVonne Furry; two nieces, Giabella and Giuliana Sampson, all of Alliance; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceding her in death was her grandfather, Harold Furry.
Megan’s family extends a huge heartfelt Thank You to Alliance Hospice and Dr. Debra Lehrer, Coastal Pet Products, Premier Health Associates, and friends and family for help and love during their difficult journey.
