Maryann Bower's Obituary
Maryann Bower, 53, of 1616 S. 12th Street, Beloit, died on Sunday, December 22, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center in Canton. Born on October 3, 1949, she had been a resident of the Alliance area for most all of her life. A Marlington High School graduate, she was employed at MPI Labels Systems and was a member of the Bethel United Church of Christ in Beloit. Maryann enjoyed the outdoors, especially her gardening, fishing, golfing and taking care of her pets. She also cherished her time playing cards with her girlfriends. Survivors include her husband John E. Bower, whom she married on January 16, 1969; son Adam Bower; son and daughter-in-law Aaron & Sheryl Bower and their daughter, Mackenzie Woolf; sister Jean Mann; brother Paul Honaker, and several aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Kenneth and Florence (Markle) Honaker. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, December 26, 2002, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, December 27, 2002. at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
