Mary Zumbar 's Obituary
Mary Zumbar, 94, of Alliance, Ohio died on Monday November 6, 2017.
Born in Massillon, Ohio on July 10, 1923 she lived her life in Massillon and Alliance.
A member of the Regina Coeli Catholic Church she participated in several volunteer church organizations. She worked at Kroger and was active in fitness programs at the Alliance YMCA for many years. Among her many fond friends were those she worked with, and exercised with over the years.
Survivors include step-daughters (twins) and sons-in-law, Constance and Larry Tissier of Parrish, FL and Patricia and Gerald Fields of Parrish, FL, son and daughter-in-law, CAPT Kevin and Kathleen Zumbar, USN (Ret) of Alexandria, VA, grandson and wife Matthew and Hannah Zumbar of Brunswick, MD, grandson Capt. Christopher Zumbar, USMC of Alexandria, VA, great-grand daughters Gretchen and Genevieve Zumbar and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, L. Eugene Zumbar, her parents Vasile and Elizabeth Comanitz, and brothers and sisters Charles Comanitz, Walter Comanitz, Victoria Pope, Joseph Comanitz, and Elizabeth Krnach.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 10:30 am at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph Ruggieri as celebrant. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
