Mary M. Thomas' Obituary
Mary M. Thomas, 88 of Alliance, joined her husband Dale in Heaven on Sunday, September 15, 2013, at 5:00 p.m. Born on January 3, 1925 in Cadiz, OH, she lived in Alliance most of her life and was a graduate of Alliance High School. Mary was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church. Mrs. Thomas was also a member and past president of the Alliance Exchange Club and the Elks Widows Club. In her past-time, she enjoyed reading books and spending time with her family and many grandchildren. Survivors include her three daughters, Carol (Mike) Brown of Hawaii, Sandra Fryfogle of Alliance and Diane Phillips of Alliance; three sons, Robert (Janet) Thomas of Alliance, Rex (Debbie) Thomas of Augusta, OH and Michael (Christine) Thomas of Louisville, OH; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a sister, and Dorothy Jeffries of Idaho; two brothers, William Moyer of Alliance and Thomas Moyer of Salem; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Dale R. Thomas on November 14, 1996, whom she married on May 30, 1944; two grandsons, Anthony Fryfogle and Matthew Thomas; her parents, Floyd and Adeline (Wanecek) Moyer; a son-in-law, Robert Fryfogle; a sister, Wanda Holt and a brother, John Moyer. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, September 19, 2013 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Friday, September 20, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Ruggieri, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
