Mary Lou Sedei's Obituary
Mary Lou (McVicker) Sedei, 82, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, May 17, 2010 at 10:20 p.m. at her home. Born on August 22, 1928 in Johnstown, PA, she lived in Alliance most of her life. Mrs. Sedei was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. In her past-time, she enjoyed shopping but especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Survivors include a daughter, Sharon (Steven) Nichols of Canton; a twin son, Jerry D. Sedei of Alliance, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Tonya Sedei of Alliance, OH; son-in-law, Edwin Cassidy of Alliance, OH; eight grandchildren, Monique Newman, Shaun Cassidy, Tiffany Locke, Fred Burns Jr., Steven Sedei, Erin Sedei, Erica Sedei and T.J. Sedei; seven great-grandchildren, Ezra Locke, Elissa Rue, Zach & Ethan Newman, Lexi Sedei, Khole Stafford and Gavin Carper; a sister, Betty Meek of Johnstown, PA; three brothers, Franklin McVicker of Jerome, PA, William McVicker of Golf Breeze, FL and Wayne (Joy) McVicker of Lodi, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Karl Sedei; daughter, Karen Cassidy; and twin son, Terry S. Sedei, Sr.; her parents, Franklin and Mary (Wolford) McVicker; two sisters, Beatrice Stuart and Edith Kreck; and a brother, John Swank. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, May 20, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, May 20, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Karl Stonebraker, Pastor of Christ United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
