Mary Martin's Obituary
Mary K. (Mastroianni) Martin, 89, of Alliance, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 10:10 pm at Bel Air Senior Living Community in Alliance, Ohio.
Born on December 14, 1933 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Domenica (Adamo) Mastroianni, she lived in Alliance for most of her life.
Mary was member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
A 1951 Graduate of Alliance High School, she was employed as a switch board operator and file clerk for Sears Roebuck, catered weddings for Sugar and Spice and was a babysitter for several years.
She was a member of the former St. Joseph Women's Guild, Alliance Senior Center and Regina Coeli Altar and Rosary Society.
Mary enjoyed reading, cooking, spending time with her family and attending grandchildren’s sports events.
Survivors include her daughter, Lynn (Robert) Raber of East Rochester; her granddaughter, Tara (Beau) Grubbs of Akron; two grandsons, Brandon Rose and Kyle (Alyssa) Rose; four great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Riley, Roman and Sawyer; and four nieces.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Wayne Martin, whom she married on November 24, 1955 and who died on May 21, 1997; her parents; a sister, Theresa Mastroianni; a brother, Frank Mastroianni; and a nephew, Joseph Mastroianni.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 6, 2023 from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Her Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am with Rev. G. David Weikart as celebrant. Burial will immediately follow at Mt. Union Cemetery.
