Mary Maddox's Obituary
Mary Maddox, 88, of Bradenton, FL, and former Akron resident, died on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Blake Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, FL. Mary was born on February 9, 1925 and had lived in Akron most of her life. She retired from L & M Trucking and had previously been employed with Akron Beacon Journal. She was also the former owner of The Causeway Campground at Guilford Lake. Survivors include her husband, Lindel Maddox whom she married on June 19, 1948; a sister, Sadie Bush of North Lima; and a brother, Dan Papic of Canfield. Preceding her in death were her parents, Nick and Petra Papic; her sisters, Anna Blender, Helen Vickers, Mildred Berong, Dorothy Marks, Eve Laubscher, Rose Socotch, Kathryn Vizzuso; and brothers, George Papic, Mike Papic and Joe Papic. Her funeral service will be held at Alliance City Cemetery Chapel on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. with her nephew, Chuck Socotch officiating. There are no calling hours. Interment will follow at Alliance City Cemetery.
