Mary Jane Lee's Obituary
Mary Jane Lee, 68, of Alliance, died on Friday, October 14, 2005, at Provena Pine View Care Center in St. Charles, Illinois. She was born in Salem, OH on August 27, 1937, and had lived in Alliance for 40 years. She was a graduate of Mount Union College with a degree in Education and a Masters degree from Youngstown State University. She had been employed by St. Thomas Aquinas High School as the athletic department administrator and as a fifth grade teacher at Knox Elementary School in the West Branch School district. She was a member of St. Joseph s Catholic Church in Alliance. Survivors include her husband, William A. Lee of Alliance, whom she married on October 11, 1968; a son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Tracy Lee of Batavia, Ill.; and three grandchildren, Jacob (4), Ryan (3), and Tori (3); sisters, Betty Zigler, Doris Herren, and Barbara Ewing, all of Alliance; and a brother, Homer K. Ewing of Queen Creek, Arizona. Preceding her in death were her parents, Homer K. and Bessie M. (Shea) Ewing. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home in Alliance on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, October 20, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Thomas J. Dyer as celebrant. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
