Mary (Mate) Kepler's Obituary
Mary (Mate) Kepler, 99, of Alliance, went home on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 1:15 a.m. at Community Care Center. Born on March 22, 1914 in Alliance, she lived in Alliance all of her life. She was a member of St. Paul s Lutheran Church. Mrs. Kepler retired from the Alliance Manufacturing Co., where she was employed as an assembler and was also a member of their Ladies Retiree Club. She had also been a member of A.A.R.P. and the Y.M.C.A. In her past-time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter, Sophia Joanne Gibbons of Bradenton, FL; four granddaughters, Lisa O Brien of Canton, OH, Jodi Mathie of Louisville, OH, Marcie Cowles of Louisville, OH and Maryann Hazen of Louisville, OH; a grandson, Denny Hazen II of Akron, OH; 10 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her husband, Glenn Kepler on February 10, 1972; her parents, John and Anna (Varadi) Mate; a sister, Anna (Mate) Sabo; and a brother, Steve Toth. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Her funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Timothy Muse officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
