Mary L. Karper's Obituary
Mary L. Karper, 93, of Alliance, died on Friday, February 06, 2004, at Alliance Community Hospital. A life long resident of the Alliance area, she was born in Atwater on November 9, 1910, and was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church and their Altar & Rosary Society. Mrs. Karper was a Life Member of the B.P .0. Elks Auxiliary and a member of the Alliance Senior Citizens. She is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Karper of Alliance; a son, Edward Karper of San Diego, CA; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Karper on Feb. 19, 1999, (they were married on Feb. 3, 1934); a daughter, Marilyn Rastogi; her parents, Michael and Mary (Macerusky) Sivey; one grandson, Roger W. Karper; one great-granddaughter; two sisters; and six brothers. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 10, 2004, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 10, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. Michael Seifert as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
