Mary Hoover's Obituary
Mary A. (Maguire) Hoover, 98, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord and be reunited with her husband Glen and son David on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 7:34 pm at Aultman Alliance Community Hospital.
Born on November 29, 1924 in National Park, New Jersey to Michael and Anna (Martin) Maguire, she lived in Alliance for most of her life.
Mary was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church.
Mary enjoyed knitting, sewing, gardening, cooking, and especially loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include three sons, Michael (Diane "Dee Dee") Hoover of Alliance, Matthew (Robin) Hoover of South Russell and Stephen (Linda) Hoover of Pataskala; her daughter-in-law, Paloma Hoover of Salisbury, MD; nine grandchildren, Brett (Cassie) Hoover, Jared (Crystal) Hoover, Mark Hoover, Paul Hoover, Scott (Julie) Hoover, Craig (Katie) Hoover, Annalise Hoover, Zachariah Hoover and Rob (Sarah) Meikle; eleven great-grandchildren, Isabella, Annabelle, Evelyn, Emma, Grace, Madison, Drew, Ben, James, Julia and Owen; three great-great-grandchildren, Zane, Phoebe and Liam; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Glen Hoover, whom she married on February 22, 1946 and who died on June 5, 2007; her son, David Hoover; two brothers, Michael and John Maguire; a sister, Genevieve Maguire; and her parents.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 10:00 am at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, with Rev. G. David Weikart, as celebrant. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
