Mary E. Haynes' Obituary
Mary E. Haynes, 86, of Alliance, died on Friday, February 27, 2009, at 8:25 p.m. at Altercare of Alliance. She was born on February 23, 1923, in Alliance and lived here all of her life. Mary attended the First Christian Church and retired from Kings Department Store. She is survived by her three daughters, Janet (Mark) Sweely, Jeanne (Daniel) Ferguson, and Jeanette (David) Bourne, all of Alliance; one son, Gary (Sheri) Haynes of North Canton; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Arline J. Manoff of Canton; one brother, Richard C. Boyd of Warsaw; a life-long friend, Mary G. Haynes of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Donald Haynes on May 15, 1996, whom she married on June 23, 1944; a son, Randy Haynes on March 3, 1998; her parents, Bert Kyle and Rachel (Fullerton) Boyd; and three brothers, Hugh T. Boyd, William B. Boyd and Robert K. Boyd. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Pam Bruno, Pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
