Mary Brumbaugh 's Obituary
Mary L. (Gwynne) Brumbaugh, 88, of Alliance, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 12:32 pm at her home in Alliance.
Born on December 14, 1929 in Malvern, Ohio to John and Louise (Decker) Gwynne, she lived in Alliance for most of her life.
A 1948 graduate of Alliance High School, Mary was member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Mary was employed at several Area Nursing Homes in Texas and Colorado as a Dietician.
She enjoyed reading, crocheting, working crossword puzzles, Jigsaw puzzles and spoiling her cat.
Survivors include her three daughters, Ruth Flugan of Alliance, Gladys Powers of Bennett, CO and Barbara Pollock of East Rochester; her son, Stephen (Nora) Brumbaugh of Homeworth; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara (Frank) Csuti of Cumberland, WI; a step-sister, Janet Gwynne of Malvern; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Paul C. Brumbaugh, whom she married on December 24, 1955 and died on September 24, 1997; father, John (Veronica) Gwynne; mother, Louise (E. Vernon) McPeek; and a granddaughter, Valorie Brumbaugh.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am, with Bishop Brian Saxey, of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley for their care given to Mary.
