Martha Louise Lasse's Obituary
Martha Louise Lasse, 85, of Alliance, died on Saturday, March 12, 2005, at 2:30 p.m. at Altera Sterling House in Alliance. She was born in Alliance on June 25, 1919, and was a lifetime resident. A graduate of Alliance High School in 1937, she had worked at the Alliance Manufacturing Co. in the 1940 s. Mrs. Lasse was a member of Temple Israel in Canton. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Susan Lasse of Avon; two sons, Dr. David N. (Celia) Lasse of Cincinnati and Daniel W. Lasse of Alliance; four grandchildren, Vivian, Adam, Sam and Sarah; two great-grandchildren, Sydney and Jonas; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Joseph Lasse on Sept. 22, 1985 (they were married on March 11, 1948); her parents, William and Kathryn (Slagle) Everson; a sister, Mildred Miller; and two brothers, Robert Everson and Eugene Everson. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rabbi John H. Spitzer officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Temple Israel, 333 25th St. N.W., Canton, OH, 44709.
