Martha "Jean" Blevins' Obituary
Martha "Jean" Blevins, 72, of Alliance, died on Saturday, December 25, 2004, at 6:56 a.m. at Aultman Hospital. Born in Lexington, VA, on April 16, 1932, she lived in Alliance most of her life. Mrs. Blevins attended Mount San Jacinto College in California. She and her husband had owned and operated the Golden Slipper from 1980-1982, and had also been a partner in the Alliance Drive-Thru. Jean is survived by her husband, James M. Blevins, they were married on December 5, 1970; two daughters, Susan M. Warner and Tina M. Taschwer, both of Alliance; four sons, Ronald Specht of Alliance, Daniel Fix of Alliance, Gary S. Fix of Seattle, WA, and James A. Blevins of Newton Falls; 16 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; a sister, Joyce M. Inherst of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence J. and Lillian L. (Hayslett) Shutler. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Private funeral services will be held.
