Marlene E. Persinger's Obituary
Marlene E. Persinger, 64, of North Georgetown, died suddenly on Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at Aultman Hospital. Born in Alliance on June 22, 1938, she had lived most all of her life in the Alliance area, moving to North Georgetown nine years ago and was an avid gardener. Survivors include two sons, William R. Persinger, and Scott J. Persinger, both of North Georgetown; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; her mother, K. Lucille (Cunningham) Hoops of North Georgetown; one sister, Elaine Carpenter of North Georgetown; one brother, James Hoops of East Sparta; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Raymond H. Persinger on September 10, 1993 (they were married on March 28, 1957); and her father, Alf Hoops. Graveside services will be held at Alliance City Cemetery on Saturday, July 6, 2002, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Joe Peters, officiating. There are no calling hours. Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
