Marjorie L. Burtnett's Obituary
Marjorie L. Burtnett, 80, of Alliance, died on Monday, December 23, 2002, at her home. Born in Green, Ohio on February 27, 1922, she had lived in the Alliance area most of her life. Survivors include two sons, John Burtnett of Orangeburg, SC and Gregg Burtnett of Homeworth, Ohio; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Virginia Higgens of Birmingham, AL. Preceding her in death were her husband, Carl Burtnett in 1987 (whom she married on June 20, 1942); her parents, Hiram J. and Minnie (Reeves) Fobes; sisters, Evelyn MacPherson and Dora Hawkins; and two brothers, Edward Fobes and Fred Fobes. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, December 26, 2002, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, December 26, 2002, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Robert Jordan, officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
