Marjorie Ann Blake's Obituary
Marjorie Ann Blake, Sr., 54, of 517 E. Broadway, died on Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at her home. A lifelong resident of Alliance, she was born on December 15, 1948, and was employed as a Dietary Assistant at Alliance Community Hospital. Marjorie's hobbies were reading and collecting porcelain dolls. She had a great love for children and pets. She is survived by her former husband, Elijah Lee Blake Sr.; two daughters and spouses, Marjorie A. Blake, Jr. & Keith Thomas; and Angela May & Michael D. Black, both of Alliance; two sons and spouses, Elijah Lee & Lorie Blake, Jr. of Beloit and Troy Lee & May E. Blake, I of Sebring; 12 grandchildren, Juston, Justina, John, Nutishia, Rico, Desiree, Mathew, Shawn, MaKayla, Troy II, Taylor, and Kayley; Darren Rose, Jr., whom she helped raise; one sister, Patricia K. (Stephen) Williams of Alliance; one brother, Harold Lee (Lynn) Carter of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua Blake; her parents, Robert J. and Virginia (Glee) Wittway; and a brother, Robert R. Wittway. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor James Hollingsworth of Freedom Community Fellowship, officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
