Marie E. Steves' Obituary
Marie E. (Floor) Steves, 88, of Alliance, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 4:06 pm at Alliance Community Hospital. She was born on December 31, 1925 in East Palestine, Ohio and lived in Alliance since 1959, moving from Lisbon, Ohio. Marie retired from Perskey's Foods as a Clerk in the Meat Department. She was a member of V.F.W. Post 1036, Ladies Auxiliary. A member of First Christian Church in Alliance, she had been a former member of the First Christian Church in Kensington, Ohio. She enjoyed working puzzles, but especially loved spending time with her grandson, great-granddaughter and soon to be expected great-granddaughter. Marie is survived by her son, William M. (Corysue) Drexler of Minerva, OH; 1 grandson Timm (Marianne) Drexler of Durham, NC; a brother, Clyde W. Floor of Salem, OH; a half-sister, Kathy Mansfield of Sebring, OH; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester S. Steves on May 12, 2007, to whom she married in October of 1963; her parents, Daniel Mary Belle (French) Floor; and three brothers, Ralph Floor, Seward H. Floor and Dale E. Floor. As per Marie s wishes, there will be no services. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
