Marie Catherine (Erchick) Korleski's Obituary
Marie Catherine (Erchick) Korleski, 93, of Alliance, died on Sunday, October 6, 2002 at the Alliance Community Hospital. Born in Hungary on December 2, 1908, she had been a resident of Alliance for most all of her life. Mrs. Korleski was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was formerly active as a member of their Funtastics Club and the Altar & Rosary Society. She was previously employed as a Glazer at the Sebring Potteries. Survivors include her children (and their spouses), William Jr. and Claire Korleski of Canfield, Jerry and Dorothy Korleski of Greentown, Joseph and Toni Korleski of Columbus, Kathy Korleski of Canton, and James and Pati Korleski of Alliance; 12 Grandchildren; 18 Great-Grandchildren; sisters, Julia Woolf of Alliance, Kate Short of Alliance, and Clara King of Texas; brothers, Jay, Luis, Steve, Charles and Joseph Erchick all of Alliance, and William Erchick of New Jersey; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband William Korleski, Sr., in May of 1967; and two sisters, Catherine Erchick and Josephine Dellis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, October 11, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, October 10, 2002, from 7:00 -9:00 p.m.
