Marie F. Brunner's Obituary
Marie F. Brunner, 87, of Alliance, died on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 7:25 a.m. in Alliance. She was born on December 12, 1923 in Alliance and lived in Alliance all of her life. A 1942 graduate of Alliance High School, she had been previously employed at Universal Co-Operatives for 34 years and retired from Costal Pet Products after 7 years of service. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a member of their Funtasticks Club. She was a 65 plus year member of the Woman s Life Insurance Society and was also a member of the Lexington Grange. In her past-time, she enjoyed music, gardening, bowling & sewing, and also spending time with her pet Parakeet "Sonny". She is survived by her brother-in-law, Dick Joliet of Alliance; a niece, Ann (Chris) Lopez of Huntington Beach, CA; a nephew, Rich (Terese) Joliet of Alliance; and great nephews, Ryan and Todd Joliet of Alliance. Preceding her in death was her parents, Henry and Martha (Polus) Brunner; and a sister, Alice Joliet. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, August 29, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Matthew M. Mankowski, as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
