Margie (Hogan) Sutterfield's Obituary
Margie (Hogan) Sutterfield, 78, of Alliance, formerly of Athens, Alabama, died on Saturday, July 24, 2010, at 9:45 a.m. at her home. She was born on January 28, 1932 in Ardmore, AL, and lived in Alliance for the past nine years. Margie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She retired from Webco Trucking in CA, where she was employed as a truck driver. Survivors include three daughters, Mary Jo Kirk of CA, Rhonda Fike of FL and Melody Porrazzo of Alliance; three sons, Jimmy Eaves of TX, Gary Wilson of NC and Kevin Cata of CA; ten grandchildren, Gary, Sherri, James, Shaun, Jeremiah, Joseph, Tabatha, Tamatha, Monic, and Ian; 17 great-grandchildren, Johnnea, Thomas, Felicity, Devan, Cooper, Audrie, Rachel, Joshua, Cherokee, Sierra, Shelby, Hailee, Kole, Brice, Aidan, Jacob and Courtney; a sister, Josephine Jackson of AL; a brother, Edward Hogan of AL; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her first husband, James Eaves; second husband, Cecil Cata; third husband, Ebenezer Wilson; fourth husband, Carl Sutterfield; two grandchildren, John Kirk and Judy "Sissy" Eaves; a great-grandson, Nicholas; her parents, Ira "Pete" and Elizabeth (Bevels) Hogan; and two brothers, James and A.D. Hogan. The family will receive friends at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home in Athens, Alabama on Friday, July 30, 2010 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home in Athens, Alabama on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Hastings Cemetery in Alabama.
