Margaret F. Reed's Obituary
Margaret F. Reed, 94, of Alliance, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014, at 3:52 a.m. at Altercare of Alliance. Born on October 25, 1919 in Van Port, PA, she lived in the Sebring & Alliance areas for most of her life. Margaret was a member of the First Church of God and had retired after 14 years of service from Monarch Rubber Co. in Hartville. In her past-time, she enjoyed cooking and spending her time with her dog, "Muffy", but especially loved her family and helping others. Survivors include a son Jerry Reed of Alliance; 5 grandchildren, Sharon and Robin, both of Albany, GA; Kelly of Sebring, OH, Andrew of Columbus, OH and Katelyn of Alliance; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Dave Reed in May of 1993, whom she married in May 1937; 2 sons, Terry A. Reed and David L. Reed; her parents, Roy P. and Gertrude E. (Belford) Coburn; and a sister, Jean Hendrickson. Her funeral service will be held at Fairmount Memorial Park Chapel on Monday, January 6, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Rick Sams of Alliance Friends Church officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
