Margaret "Peg" Deville 's Obituary
Margaret E. “Peg” (McDermott) Deville, 94, of Alliance, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, September 11, 2015.
Born on February 25, 1921 in Sebring, Ohio to Patrick H. and Edith (Wiles) McDermott, she lived in Alliance for most of her life.
She was a graduate of Minerva High School and Mercy School of Nursing in Canton.
Peg was employed at Alliance Community Hospital as a Registered Nurse and Director of Admissions. She retired on February 25, 1983 after many years of service.
Peg was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church, its Altar & Rosary Society and the Catholic Women's Club. She was also a member of Alliance Women's Club and Mercy Hospital Alumni.
Peg enjoyed playing golf, bridge, traveling and crossword puzzles. Her greatest joys were spending time with her husband Dick, the love of her life, and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Richard E. “Dick” Deville, whom she married on June 4, 1948; son, Patrick L. (Mary Ann) Deville of Huron, OH; three daughters, Mary Clare (Steven) Wolfman of North Canton, OH, Kathryn A. (Tom) Frank of Louisville, OH, Janet L. Deville of Wooster, OH; seven grandchildren: Erin, Meghan, Chad, Todd, Brian, Patrick, and Jared; and nine great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers: Joseph, James, and John "Mickey" McDermott.
The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Joseph Ruggieri as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
