Margaret E. Markle's Obituary
Margaret Ellen Markle, 79, of Alliance, died on Thursday, August 27, 2009, at 11:40 a.m. at her home. She was born on December 6, 1929 in Alliance and was a lifetime resident of the area. Margaret graduated from Minerva High School in 1947 and was active in her community for her entire life. She was a lifelong member of Alliance Salem United Methodist Church, where she was very active until her latest illness. She served as a 4-H Advisor and was a former member of Washington Township Farm Women s Club. She loved flowers and gardening and also enjoyed card club. She was a current member of the Talent Exchange, and served as a Volunteer Pink Lady at Alliance Community Hospital. Mrs. Markle is survived by her husband, Edward C. Markle whom she married on September 11, 1949; daughter Christine (Scott) Lowry of Alliance; sons Gerald (Kay) Markle of Alliance and Douglas Markle of Columbus; four grandchildren, Matthew Markle, Jessica (Andy) Reinsel, Nate Lowry and Ben Lowry; sisters Janet Moser and Barbara Moser both of Alliance; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. Preceding her in death were her parents, Fred and Bessie (Davis) Moser; and a brother, Charles Moser. The family will receive friends at Sharer Stirling Skivolocke Funeral Home Sunday, August 30, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and at Alliance Salem United Methodist Church on Monday, August 31, 2009 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at Alliance Salem United Methodist Church on Monday, August 31, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Neil G. Orchard officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Greenlawn Cemetery.
