Margaret A. Allison's Obituary
Margaret A. Allison, 88, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at 10:02 a.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. A lifelong resident of Alliance, Margaret was born on March 31, 1917 and graduated from Alliance High School. Mrs. Allison was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Margaret enjoyed playing cards and belonged to the 500 Club. She enjoyed flower gardening and shopping. She retired from the Star Bronze Company where she had been employed for 13 years as a shipping clerk. Margaret is survived by her husband of 70 years, Lawrence F. "Red" Allison whom she married on March 28, 1935; four sons, Charles L. (Mariann) Allison of Smyrna, DE, Donald P. (Joyce) Allison of Alliance, Robert A. (Karen) Allison of Jacksonville, NC, and Richard D. (Linda) Allison of Alliance; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Julia Keller; her sister, Irene Klusch; and her half sister, Alice Sims. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, March 17, 2006, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas P. Dyer of St. Ann Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
