Marcella T. Dixon's Obituary
Marcella T. (Favazzo) Cain Dixson, 93, of Alliance, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 1:10 am at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring.
Born on December 7, 1923 in Alliance, to Vincent James and Angelina (Fararrini) Favazzo, she lived in Alliance all of her life.
Marcella attended Alliance High School and was a life-long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Marcella enjoyed babysitting her nieces and nephews and helping as a nanny for local families in Alliance. She especially enjoyed the trips to see her family: the long stays in California to visit her daughters, granddaughters and great-grandchildren and spending time with her grandson in Ohio.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth R. Cain of Atwater; her daughter, Vickie L. (Dennis) Jellison of Oceanside, CA; four grandchildren, Gregory K. Cain of Atwater, Jennifer L. (Tim) Zins of Camarillo, CA, Nicole (Paul) Hendrickson of Oceanside, CA and Sara Jellison of Oceanside, CA; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her daughter, Maryann Springer; her parents; nine brothers, Carman, Anthony, Joseph, Charles, James, Ben, Victor, Angelo and infant brother, Salvatore Favazzo; four sisters, Rose Hughes, Lena Barnes, Eva Barnes and Mary Osco; her first husband, Ralph E. Cain; and her second husband, Blann Dixson.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, with Rev. Matthew J. Mankowski, of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
