Manfred "Fritz" Kisik's Obituary
Manfred "Fritz" Kisik, 53, of Alliance, died on Saturday, July 31, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at Altercare of Alliance. Born in Bad-Hall, Austria, on August 1, 1950, Fritz lived in Alliance most of his life. A US Army Vietnam War veteran, he was employed for 30 years as a hammer operator at T & W Forge. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Fritz is survived by his mother and step-father, John and Lydia (Sawicki) Welch of Alliance; four sisters, Lory (John) Chulik of Copely, Kathy (Errol) Prime of Derby, United Kingdom, Mary (Ed) Morgan of Aiken, SC, and Linda (Philip) Stanga of Bloomington, IL; three brothers, Andrew (Jean) Kisik, Jr. of Homeworth, Robert (Barb) Kisik of Alliance, and Joseph Kisik of Canton; 11 nieces and nephews; one great- nephew; and several aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Kisik, Sr.; a sister, Anna Wilbur; and a brother, Kurt Kisik. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht as celebrant. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery .
