Maggie Holbrook's Obituary
Maggie Holbrook, 85, of North Benton, died on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at 12:25 p.m. at her residence. She was born on April 4, 1922 in Olive Hill, KY, and lived in Alliance for 59 years. She was a member of the Independent Baptist Church. Mrs. Holbrook enjoyed spending time with her family, attending church and fishing. Maggie is survived by her two daughters, Lavon Hunt of Alliance and Jean McGowan of Brooksville, KY; two grandchildren, Dathan Hunt of North Benton and Darla Buchanan of West Palm Beach, FL; five sisters, Bonnie Thomas of Alliance, Hazel Lilley of Alliance, Vada Holbrook of Alliance, Madge Clark of Alliance and Opal Holbrook of Olive Hill, KY; two brothers, Burl Middleton of Alliance and Earnest Middleton of Olive Hill, KY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding her in death was her husband, Homer Holbrook on October 21, 1999 whom she married on June 23, 1944; a daughter, Barbara Nagle; a grandchild; her parents, Joe Walter and Francis (Stevens) Middleton; and two sisters, Mable Leishman and Dixie Woodburn. The family will receive friends at the Independent Baptist Church at 330 W. Cambridge St. on Sunday, December 23, 2007 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Independent Baptist Church on Monday, December 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Elder Jim Owens, Elder Jay Hale and Elder Bill King officiating.
