Mabel L. Schneider's Obituary
Mabel L. Schneider, 89, of Alliance, died on Saturday, May 15, 2004 at 10:55 a.m. at Community Care Center. Born in Clinton, Pa., on May 3, 1915, she had lived in the Alliance area most of her life. Mabel was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and had retired from the dietary kitchen of Alliance Community Hospital after 22 years of service. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws, Jerilynn and Lynn Oyster of Alliance, and Cherylene and Scott Stockert of Alliance; a sister, Ferna Waffler of Louisville and a twin sister, Mildred Shaffer of Pittsburgh, Pa.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchilden; and several nieces & nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, John Schneider on Feb. 22, 1989; her granddaughter, Teri Lynn Oyster Bolyard; her parents, Rubin and Blanche (Weaver) Crawford; a sister, Grace Shaffer; and a brother, John Crawford. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Frank Gross officiating. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. The Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home in charge of services.
