Mabel L. Schmied Cummings' Obituary
Mabel L. Schmied Cummings, 85, of Crandall Medical Center, died on Wednesday, November 24, 2004, at 8:25 a.m. Born in Richmond, OH, on December 21, 1918, she lived in Alliance for 68 years. Mrs. Cummings was a member of Bethany United Presbyterian Church. Mabel loved nature and enjoyed fishing and hiking. She is survived by four daughters, Judith Gomersall of North Olmsted, Beverly Kay Ream of Prescott, AZ, Ellen Sights of Alliance, and Barbara (Benjamin) Montesano of Homeworth; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Schmied; her second husband, James Cummings; three sons-in-law, Robert Gomersall, Loy Ream, and Milo Sights; her parents, Eugene and Hazel (Talbot) Johnson; two sisters, Dorothy and Jean; and two brothers, Coyle and Kenneth. Private services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home with Dr. William J. Sadler officiating. There will be no calling hours. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
