Mabel D. Brown's Obituary
Mabel D. Brown, 96, of Alliance, died on Thursday, October 23, 2003, at 6:10 a.m. at the Community Care Center. A lifelong resident of Alliance, Mrs. Brown was born on January 5, 1907, and was a member of the East Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was employed at the Alliance Community Hospital for 26 years and was a private duty LPN. A charter member of the Division 1 LPN Association of Canton, she also belonged to the Science Hill Historical Society. Mrs. Brown is survived by three sons, Richard L. (Betty) Brown, R. Wendall (Irene) Brown, both of Alliance, and Glenn (Ellen) Brown of Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one step granddaughter; one step great- granddaughter; three step great-great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Ronald; her patents, Charles and Effie (Eutzly) Reichard; a sister, Mildred Turk; and a brother, Roger Reichard. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, October 26, 2003, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 27, 2003, at 11 :00 a.m. with Mr. Bruce Lemmon officiating. Interment will follow at Marlboro Cemetery.
