Lyle "Herb" Hull's Obituary
Lyle "Herb" Hull, 77, a resident of Roselawn Terrace, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 26, 2009, at 4:35 a.m. at Roselawn Terrace. Born on October 31, 1931 in Alliance, he lived here most of his life. Herb attended Alliance High School and after obtaining his GED, he attended Stark State College. A member of the 82nd Airborne Division of the U. S. Army, Herb retired as a supervisor from Chrysler Corporation at the Twinsburg Stamping Plant, after 37 years of service, and attended the Alliance Freewill Baptist Church. He was a member of the Cuyahoga Falls Masonic Temple, Star Lodge; the Alliance Shrine Club; the Alliance Go-Jo Patrol; the Scottish Rite; and the Tadmore Shrine Transportation Unit. Lyle was a baseball coach for the East End A.C. Hot Stove League, and was an avid Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan. A lifetime member and past director of the Dr. Roach outdoor League, he enjoyed boating, fishing and camping and especially loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Mary L. (Pugh) Hull whom he married on May 7, 1949; a daughter, Diana (Lonnie) Lucas of Alliance; four sons, Herbert (Dr. Cynthia) Hull of Las Vegas, NV, James (Sharon) Hull of Bay City, MI, Robert Hull of Alliance and Ronald (Roxann) Hull of Alliance; 19 grandchildren, Jackie Turner, April Tate, William (Amanda) Snyder, Tonia (Jerome) Hamby, Jamie Hull, Larry (Tina) Lucas, Tracy (Curt) Edwards, Joe (Jody) Fernandez, Lisa (Lee) Taylor, Roni Lynn (Johnny Beltz) Hull, Danny (Candace Nelly) Hull, Nikki (J. Dow) Dewveal, Lyle Hull, Taylor Hull, Kodi Hull, Timothy (Betheny) Tolly, Randy (Tierra) Bugara, Ronnie Hull and Kristoffer Hull; 31 great-grandchildren, Stephanie Turner, Austin Snyder, Logan Snyder, Mackenzie Snyder, Izabella Snyder, Jeanna Hamby, Megan Lucas, Morgan Lucas, Madelynn Lucas, Danielle Edwards, Isabelle Fernandez Kelly Fernandez, Kristina Taylor, Lee Taylor, Karri Taylor, Leah Host, Abigail Beltz, John Beltz, Venessa Hull, Breanna Hull, Haley Dewveal, Montana Dewveal, Sierra Dewveal, David Dewveal, Kaleb Hull, Cheyene Hull, Nathaneil Hull and Hannah Hull, Anthony Tolly, Zander Bugara and Izabella Bugara; a sister, Patricia Stanford of Beloit; a brother, George Hull of Canton; three nieces, Kimberly Stanford, Patty Jean Hull, and Dotty Lou Wendel; and four nephews, Richard Allen Stanford, Bryan (Diana) Stanford, George Olton and David Wendel. Preceding him in death was a son, Danny Lee Hull on June 22, 2001; a grandson, Andy Bugara on September 22, 1995; his parents, Howard and Emma Jean (Koons) Hull; a brother, James H. Hull; and a brother-in-law, Virgil Stanford. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, March 1, 2009 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. A Masonic Service will be held by the Cuyahoga Falls Masonic Temple on Sun. at 3:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, March 2, 2009, at 12:00 p.m. with the Rev. Jimmie Holbrook of Alliance Freewill Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff at Roselawn Terrace for their exceptional care given to Mr. Hull.
