Lydia DeGirolamo's Obituary
Lydia DeGirolamo, 99, of Charleston, SC and formerly of Alliance, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024 at Lowcountry Community Hospice House in Summerville, South Carolina.
Born on May 7, 1925 in Alliance to Michael and Jennie (Capuano) DeGirolamo, she graduated from Alliance High School and lived in Alliance for most of her life.
Lydia was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church.
Survivors include her sister, Lucy DeGirolamo; two nephews, James (Karen) Kinsey of South Carolina and Jon (Laurie) Kinsey of Kansas; and many great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband Raymond A. DeGirolamo, whom she married on May 9, 1944 and who died on November 14, 1994; her parents; two sisters, Nellie DeGirolamo and Connie Kinsey; and a brother, Ernest DeGirolamo.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 from 9:30 am - 10:00 am at Regina Coeli Catholic Church. Her Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am with Rev. G . David Weikart as celebrant. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
