Lucille Rose McClary's Obituary
Lucille Rose McClary, 105, of Alliance, died on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at McCrea Manor. Born on December 16, 1906 in New Baltimore, OH, she lived in the Alliance area all of her life. A 1924 graduate of Hartville High School, she then graduated from the Canton Actual Business College. Mrs. McClary was a member of New Baltimore Community Church and was also a member of the Pilot Knob Women s Club. She had been employed at Canton Stamping in their billing department for 10 years and for Virginia Dare for 22 years. In her past-time, she enjoyed traveling, reading and was a huge sports fan, but especially loved spending time with her family and her great-great-granddaughter, Lilly. She is survived by her children, Jeanne Cannon of Alliance and Jack (Patricia Kelly) McClary of Alliance; her grandchildren, Jeff (Denene) Cannon of Alliance, Chris (Charlene) Cannon of Alliance, Scott Cannon of Rittman, and Dawn McClary of CA; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Noah Jacob McClary on March 5, 1956, whom she married on December 16, 1936; her parents, Orrie and Marie (Bryan) Reichard; and two sisters, Inez (Elson) Kamerer and Dorothea (Ray) Forkum. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kenneth Baker of New Baltimore Community Church officiating. Interment will follow at Marlboro Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
