Louis M. Francis' Obituary
Louis M. Francis, 88, of Alliance, died on Thursday, June 30, 2005, at 6:15 a.m. at McCrea Manor. Born in Akron on October 27, 1916, Mr. Francis was a graduate of Akron South High School and has lived in the Alliance area for over 45 years. Mr. Francis was the maintenance supervisor for the Marlington Public School System for 30 years. Louis was a member of the First Christian Church, the Alliance Senior Center, the Alliance Shrine Club, the Tadmor Shrine Club, the Scottish Rite 32 degree, and was the President of the Akron Shrine Patrol. He was also a former member the Elks and former Director of the William Penn Club. He is survived by his brother John Francis of Alliance; and six nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Olive M. (Fuch) Francis, who died June 7, 2003 (they were married on June 28, 1958); his parents, Louis and Katy (Janski) Francis; a sister, Rose Naswadi; and two brothers, Steven and Gabor Francis. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Pamela J. Bruno officiating. Internment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
