Louis M. Erchick's Obituary
Louis M. Erchick, 89, of 2041 Watson Ave., died on Friday, January 14, 2005, at 7:25 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born on April 27, 1915, in Jeannette, PA, he lived most of his life in Alliance. A 23 year veteran, he served as Chief Aviation Metalsmith in the U.S. Navy before his employment at United Co-Op. Mr. Erchick was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was an Altar Server for 31 years. Louis is survived by three sisters, Katherine "Katie" Short and Julia Woolf of Alliance, and Clara King of Beaumont, TX; and five brothers, Julius Erchick, Steve Erchick, Charles Erchick, and Joe Erchick all of Alliance, and William Erchick of Middlesex, NJ. Also surviving are over 130 nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Catherine (Tegi) Erchick; and three sisters, Marie Korleski, Josephine Dellas, and infant sister, Catherine Erchick. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
