Loretta M. "Peggy" Prieur's Obituary
Loretta M. "Peggy" Prieur, 90, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, February 26, 2002, at Altercare of Alliance. Born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania on September 25, 1911, she had lived in the Alliance area since 1952. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, she was also very active with the Salvation Army, ringing bells at Christmas for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Jona J. Risley of Alliance; a son, John Albert Diettrich of Daytona, Florida; four granddaughters, Mrs. Terry (Joyce) Vickers of Hartville, Mrs. Timothy (Darlene) Shellenberger of Marlboro, Cindy Hartshorne of Alliance, and Mrs. Anthony (Diana) Kindler of Alliance; twelve great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband, Elmer J. Prieur in 1977; her parents, John and Mary Jane (Main) Engelmier; grandson, Robert E. Goshorn and great-grandson, Kyle Scott Montesano. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, March 2, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht officiating. Burial will follow at Alliance City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, March 1, 2002, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
