Loretta J. Atkins' Obituary
Loretta J. (Pisanello) Atkins, 94, of Copley, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 9:18 pm at Arden Courts of Bath in Akron, Ohio.
She was born on July 11, 1921 in Alliance, Ohio to Michele and Antonietta (Romano) Pisanello.
Loretta was a 1941graduate from Alliance High School. She married Albert P. Atkins on July 12, 1958 and through the years they had lived in Alliance, Cleveland, Detroit, South Bend, IN, Peoria, IL and Cape Girardeau, MO. While living in Cape Girardeau, they were members of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
She was a member of the Suburban Garden Club, Beta Sigma Phi and various organizations in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Loretta enjoyed her many clubs, volunteering at hospitals and schools and traveling the world with Al.
Survivors include two brothers, Vincent (Florence) and Dante (Helen) Pisanello of Alliance, OH; numerous nieces and nephews; and many Atkin’s family members.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Albert P. Atkins on December 31, 2006; her parents, Michele and Antonietta Pisanello; sisters, Amelia (Dominic) Origlio and Amanda Inez (Charles) Begue; and brothers, Angelo Pisanello and Ronald Pisanello.
The family will receive friends at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Her Mass of Christian Burial will begin at held at 11:00 am, with Rev. Joseph Ruggieri, as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank Arden Courts of Bath and Crossroads Hospice for their compassionate care.
