Lorena A. Coen's Obituary
Lorena A. Coen, 83, of Damascus, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at Alliance Community Hospital, with her family at her side. She was born on November 19, 1927 in Lisbon, Ohio and lived in Damascus most of her life. She was a graduate of Lisbon High School and was a member of Damascus United Methodist Church. She retired in 1990 from Crandall Medical Center. In her past-time, she enjoyed playing cards, baking, cooking, sewing, and taking care of her flower beds. She especially loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and her dog "Luke". She is survived by three daughters, Shelley (Don) Baumgartner of Alliance, Karen (Scott) McCorkhill of Salem and Jan (Donald) Tarolli of Salem; a son, David (Tami) Coen of Mogadore; four grandchildren, Stephanie & Nicholas Tarolli and Amy & Bradley Coen; and one nephew, William Farmer of Bolingbrook, IL. Preceding her in death was her husband, Ralph Coen on June 20, 1982; her parents, William Frank and Martha Hazel (Newhouse) Eells; and a sister, Ihla Farmer. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, February 18, 2011, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, February 18, 2011, at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Bob Amey, of Damascus United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
