Lomar J. "Dobe" Haidet's Obituary
Lomar J. "Dobe" Haidet, 88, of Alliance, died on Monday, April 26, 2004 at 2:05 p.m. at his home. A lifelong resident of Alliance, he was born on December 10, 1915, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Dobe retired after 40 years of service from Morgan Engineering Co. where he had been employed as an inspector. He was a social member of the Christopher Columbus Lodge, the Dante Alighieri Society, and the William Penn Club. He is survived by a sister, Mame Gibbs of Alliance; a brother, Robert Samm Haidet of Fairfax, VA; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his wife Ruth I. (Walters) Haidet, on December 6, 2002, (they were married on June 27, 1942); his parents, Henry N. and Cora Katherine (Eizernzimmer) Haidet; four sisters Bessie Noble, Nellie Bichsel, Mary Vogel and Emma Jones; and a brother, Ralph Haidet. The family will receive, friends at the Sharer-Stir1ing-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday from 12:30 -1:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht as celebrant. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
