Lois Marie Dailey's Obituary
Lois Marie (Salisbury) Dailey, 84, a lifelong resident of Alliance, Ohio, passed away on August 25, 2018.
Lois was born in Alliance to Henry and Gladys Salisbury on July 8, 1934. She went to Alliance High School and graduated in 1953. She was a member of American Legion, Post 166 and a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
In 1953, Lois married the love of her life, William Dailey Sr. In addition to raising their five children, she enjoyed bingo, daytime TV game shows, old-time movies, crossword puzzles, was an avid soap opera follower, and especially spending time with her family, and her dog (Zoe).
Lois is preceded in death by her husband; William Sr; her parents, Henry and Gladys; two sisters Maxine and Georgia; a daughter, Laurie; and three grandsons, Robert Fernandez, Anthony Schmachtenberger, and William Dailey III.
Lois is survived by her children: Robin (William) Scalero, Mary (Ezekiel) Fernandez, Cheryl Dailey (fiancé Colin Gibson), and William Dailey Jr.; her sister, Fran Orzo; a brother, Donald Salisbury; 17 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 427 E. Broadway, Alliance, OH 44601.
Visitation will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on August 30, 2018 from 6:00 –9:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on August 31, 2018 at 10:00 am with Rev. Matthew J. Mankowski as celebrant. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
