Linda C. Fannin's Obituary
After a long, difficult struggle, our loving mother has finally gone to be with the Lord. Linda Fannin, 57, of Homeworth, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2011; attended by her devoted husband, Kenneth, her loving sons, Steven and Kyle, as well as family and friends. Linda suffered a traumatic brain injury after a serious car accident on December 30, 2010. She never recovered. Linda was a radiant and vibrant woman as well as a caring and compassionate nurse. As committed to her family and friends as she was to her profession, her deep sense of empathy and loving-kindness touched everyone she came in contact with, and will be greatly missed. Loved and admired by those who knew her, Linda was a Registered Nurse for over 35 years, working most recently at The Laurels of Canton. As a life-long member of the Alliance Church of Christ, her family and friends take comfort in her deep, abiding faith. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Jacqueline Simmons. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Fannin of Homeworth; her two sons, Steven (Sharon) Fannin of Norton and Kyle (Mary) Fannin of Homeworth; her brother, Dennis Simmons of Alliance and her sister, Karen Page of Homeworth. Per her request, Linda will be cremated and commended to the care of her family. A memorial service will be held in her honor at the Alliance Church of Christ, 9371 McCallum Ave., Alliance, OH 44601, on Saturday, July 9, at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Matt Lowe officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. All are welcome to stay for the gathering immediately following the memorial service.
