Lina C. Carli's Obituary
Lina C. Carli, 98, of Alliance, died on Saturday, January 28, 2006, at 10:25 p.m. at Altercare of Alliance. Mrs. Carli was born in Calavino, Province Trento, Italy on January 11, 1908, and had lived in Alliance since 1930. Lina was the co-owner of the former Summit Street Confectionary and worked at A. R. Schopp and Sons, Inc. and at the former Bressan Footwear. She was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church. She is survived by two nieces, Inez Moegling of Alliance and Lillian Bressan of Naples, FL; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews in the U.S. and in Italy. Lina was preceded in death by her first husband, Severino Chiste on September 13, 1959; her second husband, Peter Carli on February 2, 1972; four sisters, Maria Bortoli, Santina Bortoli, Carmela Pisoni and Anna Pisoni; and two brothers, Gildo Pisoni and Giovani Pisoni. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 1, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Michael Seifert as celebrant. There will be no calling hours. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
