Lillian "Babe" Twaddle's Obituary
Lillian "Babe" Twaddle, 89, of Alliance, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Thursday, February 25, 2010, at 6:41 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. She was born on July 29, 1920 in Akron, and lived in Alliance since 1953. A graduate of Springfield High School in Akron, Lillian was the floor manager for Jay s convenience store. She had previously been the floor manager for O Neil s for 17 years and W.T. Grants for 5 years. She was also a member of O Neal Lites. Mrs. Twaddle was a life member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of their Club 55. In her past-time, she enjoyed bingo, music programs, crafts and gardening and was an avid reader. Survivors include a daughter, Judith (Donald) Betz of Alliance; two sons, James (Geri) Twaddle of Alliance and Gerald (Barbara) Twaddle of Sebring; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and a niece, Nancy Miller of Akron. Preceding her in death was her first husband, Richard Swiger; her second husband, James G. Twaddle on October 6, 1988, whom she married on May 22, 1953; her parents, John F. and Garnet H. (Brown) Sechman; three sisters, Evelyn L. Archer, Hazel I. Miller and Dorthea Rose; and a brother, Thomas Sechman. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, March 1, 2010, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Kimball of the Sebring Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
