Lillian Belle (Otteson) Hahlen's Obituary
Lillian Belle (Otteson) Hahlen, 85, of Minerva, died on Wednesday, August 18, 2004, at 8:05 p.m. at Minerva Eldercare Center. Born in New Hampton, Iowa, on July 26, 1919, she lived most of her life in Minerva. Mrs. Hahlen attended the Bethel United Church of Christ and retired from the Castle Nightclub where she had been a waitress for over 30 years. She is survived by her husband, Russell Hahlen (they were married on January 29, 1971); a sister, Amy Kron of Alliance; a brother, Peter Otteson of Columbus; and seven nieces, Myla Newton of Tarpon Springs, FL, Doreen Garrett of Holiday, FL, Lori Baugh of Phoenix, AZ, Cindy Davidson of Castle Rock, CO, Julie Otteson of Denver, CO, Jennifer Otteson of Columbus, and Karen Ackerman of Alliance. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Winifred (Hewitt) Otteson; a sister, Ruth Warren, and a nephew, David A. Otteson. Private services will be held. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
