Leona K. Bodendorfer's Obituary
Leona K. Bodendorfer, 64, of Alliance, died on May 24, 2012, at 5:16 a.m. at Beeghly Oaks in Boardman. Born on September 11, 1947 in Alliance, she lived in Alliance all of her life. She was a 1967 graduate of West Branch High School and retired from the Alliance WalMart. In her past-time, she enjoyed sewing and puzzle books. Survivors include; her daughter, Mindy (Scott) Smalley of Salem; a son, Shawn (Laura) Bodendorfer of Alliance; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Judy Eells of Sebring, June Riddle of Beloit, and Jennie Benner of Beloit; two brothers, Harold Benner of Homeworth and Richard Benner of Alliance; companion, Fred "Sonny" Percy of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Glenwood and Florence (Clippinger) Benner; and a brother, Larry Benner. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Her funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Larry Murphy of the First Church of God officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
