Lee Warren James' Obituary
Lee Warren James, 29, of Alliance, died on Monday, May 2, 2011, at his home. Lee was the cherished son of Nancy Montgomery Fryer and Randy James. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Louella Montgomery. Born on June 28, 1981 in Ohio and raised in Colliers and Wellsburg, West Virginia, Lee was a 1999 graduate of Brooke High School. He was a bright, funny guy - an original. He enjoyed intense indie rock and any Cleveland sports team. He scorned pretension. He was quicker and wittier than might be expected from his understated, laid-back personality. Lee was gifted in sarcasm and unapologetically direct in interaction. Yet he was fiercely loyal to those he loved and could be unexpectedly tender. Lee lived with brain cancer for most of his tragically abbreviated adult life. Yet he was void of self-pity - his strongest complaint ever was: "Cancer sucks." In addition to his parents and his stepfather Richard Fryer, Lee is survived by the love of his life, Marissa Trimble; paternal grandparents Lee and Bonnie James; maternal aunts Brenda Byers and Sherry Cable; maternal uncles Paul, Dale, and Sherman Montgomery; paternal aunt Becky Petteway; paternal uncles Ron, Russ, Rob, and Roy James; among many other cousins, Kayt Blair, Malissa, CJ, and Aaron Montgomery, and Keith, Ryan, and Cameron Petteway; and life-long friend Clint Kisner; and future parents-in-law, Al and Julie Trimble. "Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself. But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires: To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To know the pain of too much tenderness. To be wounded by your own understanding of love; And to bleed willingly and joyfully." Visitation will be Thursday, May 5, 2011, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. at Reasner Funeral Home, 1515 Charles St., Wellsburg, West Virginia, where services will be held Friday, May 6th, at 11:00 a. m., with Pastor Kenn Sickels officiating. Interment will be at Fort Steuben Burial Estates Steubenville OH. Condolences may be left at reasnerofwellsburg.com Local arrangements were by Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
